Birmingham Residents Directory is privately operated. It describes and links to public rolls, record indexes, and directory collections concerning Birmingham, Michigan. It does not host government records and has no affiliation with a records office, court, library, or custodian.
2. Permitted Use
Use the service only for lawful purposes. You may not use it, or information reached through it, to:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm any person
- Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
- Commit identity theft or fraud
- Make FCRA-regulated decisions, including credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions
- Scrape, copy, or republish service content at scale
- Disrupt the service’s operation or security
3. No Consumer Reporting Role
This service is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Nothing on it, or returned by a linked search tool, is a consumer report. It may not be used to determine eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or any other FCRA-covered purpose.
4. External Services
Government portals and third-party services, including sponsored search tools, maintain their own terms and policies. We do not control or take responsibility for their content, availability, charges, or data practices.
5. No Warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that its material is accurate, complete, or current, or that a linked portal will operate or return correct results.
6. Limits of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages connected with use of this service or a linked resource, including decisions based on records found through either.
7. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the service operators harmless from claims or demands, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, resulting from misuse of the service or a violation of these terms.
8. Intellectual Property
The original text, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. You may link to a page and quote a short excerpt with attribution, but may not republish complete pages or systematically copy content.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these terms by posting an updated version here. Continued use after a revision means you accept it.
10. Restricting Access
We may block or limit access, without notice and at our discretion, for a user who violates these terms or misuses the service.
11. Governing Law
Michigan law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Michigan FOIA, MCL 15.231 et seq., governs access to records held by Michigan public bodies, subject to its exemptions; it does not make this private reference a government custodian.
12. Severability
If a provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
