This Is Not a Government Office or Records Custodian. We operate a private reference site and cannot retrieve records, certify copies, verify a current resident, or alter a public roll or database. Direct those requests to the office that keeps the record. For emergencies, call 911. If someone is stalking or harassing you, contact local law enforcement.

Finding a Birmingham Record

These are the direct routes for commonly requested Birmingham record topics:

Birmingham City Clerk
Room 108, 151 Martin St
Birmingham, MI 48009
Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Phone: 248-530-1880
Email: clerksoffice@bhamgov.org
Fax: 248-530-1080

The City Clerk is the municipal contact for election records, meeting materials, board and commission rosters, legal notices, cemetery records, licenses, and public-information requests. Birmingham’s FOIA form allows inspection, copies, pickup, onsite copying, mail, and email delivery where available. County land records belong with the Oakland County Clerk/Register of Deeds, while state vital records use the Michigan MDHHS route.
